The Toronto Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre is one of two designated comprehensive cancer centres in Metropolitan Toronto. Patients are offered a full range of services: from prevention and diagnosis, to treatment and supportive care for inpatients and outpatients. A multi-disciplinary team of health professional staff offer preventive, medical, surgical and radiation treatment options for patients with all types of cancer. The Centre is affiliated with the University of Toronto and is active in basic and clinical research in cancer and cancer education.

As a local hospital, Sick Kids meets the basic health needs of children who live in the City of Toronto. But more than half the patients come from outside the city: they come from other parts of Canada, and from around the world.
